About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Crave Brain Services and Technology (“we”, “us”), which runs DPDP India Scanner at dpdpindiascanner.com. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm that you may accept them on its behalf.
What the service does
DPDP India Scanner checks the public pages of a website against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025, and gives a readiness score, the evidence for each finding and suggested fixes. Paid plans add monitoring, a compliance workspace, team access and AI features.
Results are automated indicators based on what a visitor can see. They are not legal advice, an audit or a certificate of compliance, and a good score does not mean a website complies with the law. You remain responsible for your own compliance and should take legal advice where needed.
Your account
- The service is for businesses and professionals. You must be at least 18.
- Give accurate details, keep your password safe and turn on two-step sign-in. Tell us at once at info@dpdpindiascanner.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, including what the team members you add do.
Fair use
You agree not to:
- scan websites you do not own or are not authorised to assess, or use results to harm or harass their owners;
- try to overload, probe or break the service, get around plan limits, or reach other customers’ data;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or use the API beyond your plan;
- upload unlawful content, malware, or personal data you do not need. Please redact evidence files before uploading them.
Your data and our role
For your own account data we are the Data Fiduciary, as our privacy notice explains. For the data your workspace records about your own visitors and customers (rights requests, consent records, breach and inventory entries), you are the Data Fiduciary and we process it only on your instructions to provide the service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for that data and for the notices you give.
Plans and payment
- The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions, billed in advance through Razorpay, and renew each month until you cancel.
- Prices are in Indian rupees and shown on the pricing page. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
- Each plan includes a monthly number of scans and AI actions. Unused amounts do not carry over to the next month.
- If we change a price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next billing period. You can cancel before then.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then moves to the Free plan. Payments are not refunded except as set out in our cancellation and refund policy.
AI features
AI features send the report content and your answers to Anthropic to write the result. AI output can be wrong or incomplete: review it, and test any code on a staging site, before you rely on it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change takes away something important on a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
Ownership
We own the service, its software and its content. You own the data and files you add, and you allow us to use them only to provide and secure the service for you.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or penalties or claims against you under the DPDP Act or any other law, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Suspension and closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk; where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be decided by the competent courts in India. Please write to us first: most problems can be solved quickly.
Changes to these terms
We will email you about material changes at least 15 days before they apply. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
